Opal + Ora is a concept candy store based in Portland, specializing in hand-crafted candies based on heirloom recipes, and using exclusively Fairtrade-certified ingredients. Bringing old recipes to light in a refreshing way, Opal + Ora is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and something else to sweeten your day. Branding, photography, candy crafting, and sugar typography all done with a loving hand.

Type Specimens

Creating a type specimen book is like getting to hang out with a typeface for an extended period of time - it's playtime for type nerds. For this book I spent time hanging out with Filosofia, Neutraface, Didot, Futura, Adobe Caslon, and Clarendon, exploring the quirks and variations of each one.
